About www.SafetyPilotClub.com

Why this site was created:

Flying is not easy or cheap. The cost of aviation keeps too many of us from staying active with our flying passion.

The purpose of Safety Pilot Club is to reduce the expenses associated with general aviation flight while at the same time network pilots and promote aviation safety.

What you can find on this website:

How to Save Money:

Safety Pilot - An Instrument Rated Pilot is required to perform 6 instrument approaches every 6 months. If flown with a flight instructor, this can cost the pilot $30+ per hour of flight time. A private pilot can fly "right seat" and save the pilot the cost of flying with an instructor. SPC members can search for other pilots in their local area.

Rideshare - Private pilots are not permitted to charge for services as a pilot. That being said, the FAA permits a limited amount of expenses to be shared between the pilot and passengers. The sharing of these costs can save a pilots on cross country expenses.

Student Pilot Mentor - Many student pilots can benefit by having an experienced pilot guide them through the flight training process. Exposure to the flight environment prior to and during flight training can help minimize the time and cost associated with gaining any Pilot Certificate.
